Core drilling job sheets that price every hole
Core Docket gives core drilling and diamond drilling businesses a digital job sheet the crew fill in on their phone, and a rate card that prices each core hole by diameter and depth. The office gets a signed docket and a priced draft invoice, and can spend its time checking the job and getting the invoice out within minutes.

Core hole pricing by diameter and depth
Per 10mm, by diameter band
Each diameter band, such as up to 100mm or up to 150mm, has a rate per 10mm of depth. The operator picks the band, types the depth and the number of holes, and the price is worked out.
Horizontal and inverted from vertical
Horizontal can be set at vertical +25% and inverted at vertical +100%. Change a vertical rate and the horizontal and inverted rates move with it, so the three never drift apart.
Holes as a count
The number of holes is its own question. Eight identical holes go on the docket as one line with a quantity of 8, the way your invoice would show them.
An example: one band, three orientations
A diameter band up to 150mm at an example rate of $4.00 per 10mm, with a minimum of 100mm deep per hole.
| Hole | Depth and count | Example rate | Example price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vertical | 4 holes × 150mm | $4.00 per 10mm | $240.00 |
| Horizontal (+25%) | 4 holes × 150mm | $5.00 per 10mm | $300.00 |
| Inverted (+100%) | 2 holes × 150mm | $8.00 per 10mm | $240.00 |
| Vertical, shallow hole | 1 hole × 60mm, billed as 100mm | $4.00 per 10mm | $40.00 |
Example figures only. The minimum depth is set as a minimum charge on the band (the rate × 10), so a 60mm hole bills at the 100mm price.
Minimum depth, excess steel and relocations
A "minimum price 100mm deep" rule becomes a minimum charge on each diameter band, so a shallow hole through a thin wall or a set-down still bills at the depth your price list says. On top of that, a company-wide minimum per visit can top up a callout for a single hole, and a higher minimum can apply outside your normal hours, worked out from the job's actual times.
Excess steel goes on as its own line. It can be priced per 10mm of depth through reinforcement, or by bar size and the number of bars cut, whichever your price list uses. Relocation charges sit in a miscellaneous section with stand pipes, water pumps, wet vacs and generators, each priced per job, per day or per hour as your price list says.
Slurry matters on a coring job. A slurry containment unit or slurry drum can be a priced line, and a separate slurry and waste docket can sit beside your job docket. See the rate card for how sections, options and minimums fit together.
What the core drilling job sheet records
- Site, customer, contact and the PO or order number your booking rules ask for.
- Each set of holes: diameter band, orientation, depth and how many.
- Excess steel, relocations, standby and clean-up as their own lines.
- Safety answers, such as whether services were located or scanned, with a stop question that halts the docket on the wrong answer.
- Photos of the marked-out holes and the finished work, and the site contact's signature.
- Time on site, compared with the work recorded so a gap shows before the crew leave.

Questions
How do I price core holes in Core Docket?
Each diameter band has a rate per 10mm of depth, and the crew enter the depth and number of holes on the docket. Horizontal and inverted can be set as a percentage of the vertical rate, such as +25% and +100%.
Can I set a minimum depth per core hole?
Yes. A minimum depth such as 100mm is set as a minimum charge on the diameter band, so a shallower hole bills at the minimum. A separate minimum per visit can also apply to the whole docket.
Can the crew record excess steel on the docket?
Yes. Excess steel is its own priced line on the docket, set up to match your price list, for example per 10mm through steel or by bar size and number of bars.
Can I see how many core holes we drilled for a builder?
Yes. Reports show how many of a task were done per customer, such as core holes per month, and you can open the dockets behind any number or export it as CSV.
Can different builders have different core hole rates?
Yes. Customers can be put on a price group with their own rates, and single prices can be overridden for one customer.
Are SWMS, pre-starts and timesheets extra?
No. Every feature is included in one plan, with no tiers or add-ons, so SWMS sign-on, drill rig pre-starts, timesheets and the asset register come at no extra cost. It works for one operator or a crew of any size.
