CoreDocket Refund Policy
Effective date: 6 October 20261. About this policy
This policy explains when CoreDocket subscription fees are refunded. It summarises clause 12 of the Terms of Use, which governs if there is any difference between the two.
2. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
CoreDocket’s services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. These guarantees apply to a business customer as well as to an individual where the services cost $100,000 or less. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.
If the service has a major failure, you may cancel your subscription and receive a refund for the unused part of the billing period. If a failure is not major, CoreDocket will remedy it within a reasonable time; if it is not remedied, you may cancel and receive a refund for the unused part of the billing period.
3. Free trial
A free trial requires no payment details, and no charge is made at its end. The account continues only if you choose a plan. As nothing is paid, no refund arises. If you choose a plan during the trial, your first payment is taken when the trial ends.
4. Cancelling a subscription
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. You may cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period already paid for, and you keep full access until then. No further charge is made after cancellation.
Apart from the rights set out in section 2 and the cases in section 6, the unused part of a billing period is not refunded when you cancel.
5. Adding and removing people
Adding a person with a login during a billing period is charged pro rata for the remainder of that period. Removing a person during a billing period is credited pro rata for the remainder of that period. Both appear on your next invoice. Suspending a person’s access is treated as removing them, and restoring it as adding them. A credit is applied to future invoices, and any credit remaining when a subscription ends is refunded to the payment method on file.
6. Billing errors
Any amount charged in error, including a duplicate charge or a charge made after cancellation took effect, is refunded in full once confirmed.
7. Your data is not affected
Cancelling, or not paying, does not cause your records to be deleted or withheld. A copy of your data is available on request, as set out in clause 13 of the Terms of Use, and your data is retained for 90 days after an account closes.
8. How to request a refund
Email enquiries@coredocket.com.au with your business name, the charge concerned and the reason for the request. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Card refunds are processed through Stripe and usually appear on the statement within 5 to 10 business days.
If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may contact your state or territory consumer protection agency or the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission at accc.gov.au.
