Why carbon books cost you
A carbon docket book works until the end of the week. Then the books come back from the utes, the yellow copies are faint, the white copy went home with the builder, and someone has to read a crew member's handwriting to work out whether it says 15 or 45, or 150 or 450 deep. The invoice waits until all of that is sorted.
A docket book app takes that week out of it. Each docket arrives in the office when it is signed, readable, priced, with photos and the customer's signature on it. Your time goes on the jobs that need a question asked.

We set up the same questions, checkboxes, safety checks and terms and conditions in Core Docket, on your letterhead. If you run a second book, such as a slurry and waste docket, that becomes a second docket.

Your rate card goes in so the work prices itself as the crew record it.

It runs in the phone's browser and can be added to the home screen. The install page shows how.

Carry on your numbering
You can set the first job number so it carries on from where your last book finished. All of this is included in the one plan, with no add-ons and no extra cost.
What changes on site
The customer signs on the phone
The signature goes on the docket with the photos. If the customer is not there, the crew can mark them absent and finish without a signature, if your docket allows it.
The customer gets their copy
When the docket is finished, a PDF on your letterhead is emailed to the customer, plus anyone else you add. You choose field by field what they see, so office notes stay off their copy.
Terms on every docket
Your terms and conditions appear on the docket for the customer to accept before signing, the same way they sat on the back of the book.
What a paper book cannot do
- Price the work as it is entered, from your rate card.
- Show the crew, while they are still on site, when the time on site does not match the work recorded, so standby or clean-up gets added before they leave.
- Stop the docket when a safety question gets the wrong answer, for example services not located.
- Create a draft invoice the moment the docket is finished, ready for you to check and send to your accounting suite.
- Never go missing, get rained on or end up under a seat.
Signal on site
Basements and new slabs are not known for reception. The crew fill in and finish the docket with no signal at all: it is kept on the phone, with its photos and signature, and sent the moment signal returns.

Can Core Docket copy our existing paper docket?
Yes. Send us a photo or scan of your docket book, front and back, and we rebuild it in Core Docket with the same questions and terms, at no charge.
Does the customer get a copy of the docket?
Yes. When the crew finish the docket, a PDF on your letterhead is emailed to the customer automatically, and you can add other recipients.
Can we keep our docket numbers going from the last book?
Yes. You can set the first job number so Core Docket carries on from where your paper books finished.
Do the crew need to download an app from the App Store?
No. Core Docket runs in the phone's browser and can be added to the home screen like an app. There is no App Store or Google Play download.
What happens if there is no signal on site?
Pages the crew have already opened can still be read offline. A finished docket is kept on the phone, with its photos and signature, and sent the moment signal returns.
