No app store
Core Docket is not in the App Store or Google Play, and nobody needs to download it from one. It runs in the phone's browser, so there is no app update to chase when the crew are on site, and a new starter can be working on it the same morning.
It carries your company name and logo, so the crew see your business on the screen. A small Core Docket credit sits at the foot of the app. Each person signs in with their own login, so every docket records who was on the job.
When the signal drops
Basements, plant rooms, roof spaces and new slabs are not known for good reception. This is what keeps working.
- Pages the crew have already opened can still be read with no signal, so the job details are there in the basement.
- Timesheet Start and Stop presses are kept on the phone and sent when signal returns.
- A finished docket, with its photos and signature, is kept on the phone and sent the moment signal returns, so the crew submit and move on.
Built for gloves and sunlight
The crew are tradies on site, not office staff. Buttons are large enough to hit with a dusty thumb, the type is big enough to read in the sun, and every screen has one clear thing to do next.
When the docket needs a signature, the phone is handed over and the customer signs with a finger. Photos come straight from the phone's camera. Leave is requested on the phone too, and the office approves it.

Questions
Is there an iPhone or Android app to download?
No. Core Docket runs in the phone's browser and can be added to the home screen, where it opens like any other app. There is nothing to download from an app store.
Does the crew app work with no reception?
Pages the crew have already opened can still be read with no signal, and timesheet Start and Stop presses are kept and sent later. A finished docket is kept on the phone, with its photos and signature, and sent the moment signal returns.
Will the crew get a notification when a job changes?
No. There are no push notifications. The crew see a change the next time they open or refresh the app.
Can the crew see prices or the customer list?
Only if you allow it. Seeing prices is a permission set per person, and the owner can hide the customer list from crew.
Does the app show our company branding?
Yes. The crew's phone shows your company name and logo. A small Core Docket credit appears at the foot of the app.
