The week by person
One row per person
Each crew member has a row across the week, with their jobs on the days and times they are booked.
The unscheduled list
Jobs that are booked in but not given a day or a person sit in a list beside the board, so nothing waits in an inbox.
Drag to reassign
Drag a job to another person or another time. When a saw breaks down or a site pushes back a day, the change takes seconds.
What the board shows you
- Jobs with two or three people on them, shown on each person's row, so a crew of two, such as a wall sawing team, is booked as one job.
- Clashes, where one person is booked on two jobs at the same time, are flagged on the board.
- Approved leave on each person's day, so you can see who is off before you book them.
- The jobs still waiting for a day or a person.
Map and travel
Jobs can be seen on a map, with the travel between them. When three jobs are on the same side of town, you can put them on one person's day and keep the ute off the motorway.
Travel time is also something the crew can add to the docket as a line, so it ends up on the invoice where your rate card charges for it.
Booking a job

Enter the booking
Pick the customer and the site. Site contacts the customer has used before are remembered, so the name and number fill in as you type. Add any notes the crew need, such as access times or where the waste goes.

Fill the required fields
You decide what a booking must have before it is saved, for example a PO or order number for builders who will not pay without one.

Put it on the board
Drag it to a person and a day, or leave it in the unscheduled list until you know who is free. Job numbers carry on from a starting number you choose.

The crew open it on site
The job appears on the crew's phone with the address, contact and notes, and the docket opens from it.
How changes reach the crew
Core Docket does not send push notifications, so the phone does not buzz when you move a job. The crew see the change the next time they open or refresh the app. For a change on the morning of the job, give them a call as well.
When a job moves, it comes off the old person's list and appears on the new person's Today once they open the app. The docket opens from the job, so the person who did the work is the person who fills it in.
Jobs booked across several days share one job number, and each day's docket adds to the one draft invoice. The invoicing page explains how that comes together. Scheduling is part of the one Core Docket plan, with every feature included and no add-ons.
Questions
Can I see the whole crew's week on one screen?
Yes. The schedule board lays out the week with one row per person, and jobs not yet given a day sit in an unscheduled list beside it.
Can a job have more than one person on it?
Yes. A job can have two or three people on it, and it shows on each of their rows on the schedule board.
Does Core Docket warn me about double-booking?
Yes. When one person is booked on two jobs at the same time, the clash is flagged on the board.
Do the crew get a notification when I change their schedule?
No. There are no push notifications. The crew see the change the next time they open or refresh the app, so ring them for a same-day change.
Can I make a PO number compulsory on a booking?
Yes. You choose the required fields for a booking, such as a PO or order number, and a booking cannot be saved without them.
