Your docket, rebuilt
Some businesses call it a job sheet, a job ticket or a work order. Whatever is printed on your docket book today, we rebuild it in Core Docket for you: the same questions, the same safety checks and the same terms, in the order your crew already know.
You can change it yourself afterwards in Settings, under Dockets. A company can have more than one docket, for example a cutting docket and a separate slurry and waste collection docket. If you are moving off paper, our guide to going from paper docket books to digital covers the changeover.

Questions and checks
Text answers, checkboxes, yes or no questions, notes and safety checks, laid out the way your paper docket is.
Photos
Photos of the finished work, the site before and after, or the core holes and saw cuts on a cutting job are attached to the docket as the crew take them.
Signatures
The site contact signs on the crew member's phone. If nobody is there, the crew can tick "customer absent" and finish without a signature, if your docket includes that option.
Safety and terms on the docket
- Stop questions: a safety answer can stop the docket going any further. "Services located? No" can stop the docket and tell the crew to call the site manager.
- Your terms and conditions can appear on the docket for the customer to accept before they sign.
- Rules for each docket can require work, photos and matching time before it is finished, or ask for a reason and let the crew carry on.

A PDF is made on your letterhead
The signed docket becomes a PDF with your logo, header and footer. You choose field by field what the customer sees, so office-only notes and internal checks stay off their copy.

It is emailed automatically
The customer gets their copy as soon as the docket is finished. You can add extra recipients, such as the builder's accounts team or the project manager.

The unbilled time check
Each priced line knows roughly how long it should take. When the crew finish a docket, Core Docket compares their time on site with the work they have recorded. If there is a gap, they see it while they are still on site, and can add standby, travel or clean-up as lines before they leave.
The default tolerance is 5 minutes, and each docket form decides whether a gap is ignored, asked about or must be fixed. That is the conversation you would otherwise have on Monday morning, held while the crew still remember what happened.

Questions
Can Core Docket use the docket we already have?
Yes. We rebuild your existing paper docket for you, with the same questions, safety checks and terms. You can edit it yourself afterwards in Settings.
What happens if the customer isn't on site to sign?
The crew can tick "customer absent" and finish the docket without a signature, provided your docket includes that option.
Does the customer get a copy of the docket?
Yes. When the docket is finished, a PDF on your letterhead is emailed to the customer automatically, and you can add extra recipients. You choose which fields appear on their copy.
Can a docket stop the crew if a safety check fails?
Yes. A stop question halts the docket depending on the answer, for example "Services located? No" stops it and tells the crew to call the site manager.
Can we have more than one type of docket?
Yes. A company can have several dockets, such as a job docket and a separate waste collection docket, and the crew use the one the job needs.
